Who I Am
My name is Hunter Shoemaker, a semi-professional music producer and rising voice actor. I have an incredibly versed musical background; I’ve played in a number of talented ensembles from symphonic orchestras to homestyle garage bands, I’ve done just about it all.
Music has been a part of my life since I was a child. I have fond memories of watching my dad play Final Fantasy on our old television since I was too little to even read. I still remember the music I would listen to while he played those games, and eventually when I ended up playing them myself.
I take inspiration from the industry’s greatest like Nobuo Uematsu, Joe Hisaishi, and Yoko Shimomura to some of the best Indie composers of our time: Toby Fox, Eric Barone, and Christopher Larkin
Video games is where most of my passion lies, but I’ve also found quite a calling in the film industry. When I found another medium to compose with, along with it rekindled my passion for acting. Combining the two fields of sound design and acting into voice acting was a no brainer step from there.
